Components

Time to talk chemistry! We’re drawn to Pure Ylang-Ylang because this oil contains components (you may have also heard them called “constituents”) that work together to affect our body in unique ways.Let’s break it down:

  • BENZYL BENZOATE AND METHYL BENZOATE

These components have a distinct sweet, balsamic, and fruity aroma. These components have a distinct sweet, balsamic, fruity aroma that provides a calm and balanced fragrance experience.

  • SESQUITERPENES

These large components have long-lasting aromatic power with a typical woody, earthy, and spicy aroma.

  • GERANYL ACETATE

This component has a pleasantly floral, rose, and sweet aroma.

  • OXYGENATED SESQUITERPENES

These components have at least one oxygen atom added the already large sesquiterpene. The oxygen atom gives sesquiterpenes the longest staying power because they interact with water and proteins on the skin. These components add a sweet, earthy, and woody aroma to Ylang-Ylang.

  • LINALOOL

The citrus, orange, and floral scent of linalool is relaxing to the body and mind. This component is one reason that Ylang-Ylang flowers are so inviting!
